About
Kenya. The Kenya national football team is the official representative of the country of Kenya in international tournaments, and it is overseen by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF), which was established in 1960 and joined FIFA in 1960 as well. The Kenyan team is considered one of the prominent teams in the African Confederation (CAF), and although it has not yet qualified for the World Cup finals, it has participated in several editions of the Africa Cup of Nations and achieved some notable results in continental tournaments. The team is known by its nickname 'the national lions' (Harambee Stars), and it plays its matches at the Kenyatta National Stadium in Nairobi and other venues across the country.
